What neither Seti nor Ramesses knew was that Moses was actually the son of a Hebrew woman (biologically the son of Amram and Jochebed, both Hebrew Levites) who hid him shortly after birth, and he was taken in and adopted by Henutmira to protect him from being killed at the hands of Ramesses I, Ramesses's grandfather. Ramesses, being a small child, got excited about his sister's baby and because he would have someone to play with as brothers, not knowing that fate had different paths in store for each of them.
