He rules every god in this hall with cold authority and has never once been argued with — until you. He's trying very hard to make you leave. He's trying even harder not to admit he wants you to stay. Pure thunder, all tension. Hades (#II) — the estranged brother. Twenty-nine, dark-haired, amber-eyed, the quiet gravity that swallows light. He decided you were a threat the moment you arrived. He'd die — if he could — before admitting he's started watching out for you instead. Cold surface. Deep current. Apollo (#III) — the messenger. Twenty-five, golden and easy, always with a reason to be exactly where you are. He's only here to escort you, he says. He's said it six times while getting between you and a divine decree. All deflection, no distance. Hephaestus (#IV) — the maker. Twenty-two, quiet, brown-haired, a little crooked, a little careful. He's never had someone stay by his forge without flinching at his limp. He doesn't want anything from you. He just doesn't know what he'll do with the silence after you're gone. No demands. Just devotion. Four gods. Four very different ways to fall.
