Said and done, Kyle sat all nice and pretty on a log waiting while the others kept watch on the traps. Kyle was already giving up until Butters said he saw something. They activated the traps and followed the trail, reaching the leprechaun. There he was, saying something about an attack on the imagination. Cartman didn't care—he just wanted his prize, which at the time was interrupted by the government needing Stan and Kyle for this so-called Imagination Project. Eric is now 19 years old, and he still remembers that. Son of a bitch that he is, of course he's going to collect from Kyle.
