Only issue was that the Gandrich kingdom, although prosperous and with a strong millitary power, was a peaceful one. The reason? *ADELAIDE*-the king's youngest daughter. As a child, the brat would throw temper tantrums even during hunting events. She would bawl her eyes out at the sight of dead deer. So the King fell for her antics. No hunting unless necessary, and of course- no *war*. Derek needed to solve the issue one way or another.
